Support Plainfield YMCA!

Join us for a memorable evening of laughter, food, and drink all while supporting Plainfield YMCA, a branch of Greater Somerset County YMCA.  The evening will include emcee David Miller and comedians Rich Vos and Monique Latise who will keep you laughing all night long. The evening will also include a paddle raise for the opportunity to show your support by donating to vital programs and services the YMCA provides to the Plainfield community.

WHEN: Thursday, February 22, 2024, 6 pm-9 pm

WHO: Open to the community

COST: $50 a ticket ($25 is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law)

Proceeds from the event support Plainfield YMCA’s ability to provide and expand services in the community.

MEET THE COMEDIANS:

Rich Vos:

Rich Vos is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who was born and raised in Plainfield. He has over 100 television appearances including 4 Comedy Central Specials as well as HBO, Showtime, and Starz appearances. He is a 2 time Academy Awards writer, a regular on Sirius XM radio, and the cohost of the hit podcast, My Wife Hates Me which Paste Magazine named one of the best podcasts right now.

Monique Latise:

Monique Latise is a well-sought-after comedian, born and raised in Paterson, NJ. Some of her credits include McDonald’s Gospelfest, Showtime at the Apollo, Laugh Out Loud Comedy Special, and The New Kings and Queens of New York showcase which was produced by Comedy Central and Bric TV.  Monique is the founder of a youth mentor program and showcase called YOUNG STARZ ROCK, and has accomplished 3 self-promoted and sold-out “ONE WOMAN SHOWS”.

Help those in need of formal wear by donating new and gently used dresses, suits, dress pants/shirts, shoes, ties, and jewelry. All sizes, colors, and styles are welcome. The items collected are distributed locally to those in need in the Plainfield community.

MLK DAY OF SERVICE AT DUCRET

HEALTH SCREENING & CLOTHING GIVEAWAY

In observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 20, 2025, Plainfield YMCA in partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health will be holding a health screenings. Screenings include: Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Stroke Risk Assessment, and more! The Y will also be distributing coats and toiletries for under-resourced families and individuals.
