
Greater Somerset County YMCA Earns CDC Recognition for Diabetes Prevention Program
BASKING RIDGE, NJ – Greater Somerset County YMCA is honored to announce earning CDC Full Plus Recognition for the successful delivery of its Diabetes Prevention Program, a distinction reserved for programs that meet rigorous quality and retention standards.
“This designation acknowledges delivery of a quality, evidence-based program that significantly contributes to preventing type 2 diabetes in your community and nationwide,” said Miriam T. Bell, MPH, Team Lead for the National Diabetes Prevention Program at the CDC.
Program Highlights:
- Outstanding Retention and Participation: 100% of participants met completion criteria, with excellent retention at 4, 7, and 10 months.
- Exceeding Outcomes: 80% of participants surpassed national risk reduction benchmarks.
- High Eligibility: 80% of participants met eligibility standards, reflecting exceptional recruitment efforts.
