When it comes to self-expression, we know it can come in all forms. Our music lessons empower aspiring musicians and give those interested in learning an instrument the ability to grow the non-verbal parts of themselves in a constructive, happy manner. We teach guitar, keyboard and piano, and more – you can also discuss private music lessons with the program director at your branch.

Dance Classes for All Ages
Turn up the music, and head to the Y to ignite your passion for dance. We have dance classes and programs for children, teens and adults that focus on proper technique and artistic expression. We want to inspire dancers of all ages to perfect their craft, explore their potential, and learn new dance skills.
Dance invigorates the body, mind, and spirit of all involved, participant and observer alike. When people dance, they feel healthier, hold their heads higher, and walk with poise, and have self-confidence. The Arts leave an indelible mark on youth, inspiring self-expression, self-esteem, and critical and creative thinking.
Kids learn different techniques with patience and care in dance classes that are cumulative in nature. The classes meet weekly throughout the entire school year (Sept–June) so the students can practice and train for the end-of-year recital. Beginning with our fall program registration, participants sign up for the dance class(es) of their choice and registration will be complete for the year. Payment can be made in full for the school year or with our payment program.
We offer classes in various dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, all abilities dance, musical theater, salsa for adults, and more.

Sing & Shine: Voice Lessons
Does your child love to sing? Our Sing & Shine voice lessons are designed for young singers ages 7-12 who want to build confidence, develop their voice, and have fun with music! Through engaging exercises and songs, kids will learn proper singing techniques in a fun and supportive environment.
What Kids Will Learn:
- Proper breathing & vocal warm-ups
- Pitch, tone, and vocal control
- Fun songs in different styles
- Confidence in singing solo & in groups
Strum It Up – Beginner Guitar
Does your child love music? Our Strum It Up guitar class is the perfect way for young musicians ages 7-12 to learn the basics of guitar in a fun and engaging environment! Whether they’re complete beginners or have some experience, kids will develop essential skills through hands-on practice and exciting songs.
What Kids Will Learn:
- Basic guitar chords & strumming patterns
- Proper finger placement & technique
- Playing fun, beginner-friendly songs
- Rhythm, timing, and musical expression
Acting
A fun and engaging introduction to the world of acting! In this class, young performers will learn the basics of acting through games, improv exercises, and scene work. They’ll develop important skills like creativity, confidence, and teamwork, all while exploring different characters and emotions. Whether they’re interested in theater, film, or just looking to have fun, this class provides a safe and supportive environment for kids to express themselves, improve communication skills, and build a love for the arts. Perfect for children of all experience levels!
