
Greater Somerset County YMCA’s Sr. VP & Chief Operations Officer Receives 2024 Top 40 Under 40 Nomination
BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership’s Annual Meeting, held annually in December, serves as a pivotal gathering for key figures within the Somerset County business community to celebrate accomplishments and review objectives set for the upcoming year.
On Monday, December 9th, Darnell Hayes, Sr. VP & Chief Operations Officer, Greater Somerset County YMCA was recognized as one of Somerset County Business Partnership’s Top 40 Professionals, Philanthropists, Entrepreneurs, and Community Leaders under 40. This prestigious accolade acknowledges individuals who have surpassed expectations in their professional roles, family commitments, and community engagement throughout 2024.
The Top 40 Under 40 distinction is awarded based on various criteria, including a demonstrated commitment to business growth, professional excellence, leadership qualities, notable achievements, and significant contributions to the community.
In his role as Sr. VP & Chief Operations Officer, Darnell Hayes has driven impactful initiatives, including:
- Providing strategic leadership to enhance the operations of seven YMCA branches, building high-performing teams to support organizational growth.
- Advancing Greater Somerset County YMCA’s mission to strengthen communities while fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Positioning the Y as a leader in addressing critical social issues through collaboration and safeguarding the organization with robust risk management practices.
- Translating the Association’s strategic vision into action by executing the strategic plan and its core goals to maximize community impact.
